SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electromechanical engineering and may be used in impact drives of machines and mechanisms, which are designed for the development of cyclic impact pulses, for instance, during deformation of objects in a technological process. A linear electromechanical converter of an impact action comprises an inductor, a movable anchor and a striker, which are located inside a ferromagnetic body. The anchor is made in the form of an electroconducting disc and an impact disc connected to it, which is also connected to the striker. The sharpened end of the striker is directed towards the object of deformation. Between the end disc section of the ferromagnetic body and the electroconductive disc of the anchor there is a return spring installed. Between the central ledge of the disc and the central ledge of the mobile ferromagnetic core there is a force spring. During connection of the inductor to a storage condenser, current in the inductor excites a magnetic field, which, while being closed in the ferromagnetic body and the core, induces vortex currents in the electroconducting disc of the anchor.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of a linear electromechanical converter of an impact action.
