FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: railway coupler knuckle comprises tail section, bushing section and mid section connecting aforesaid both. Bushing section comprises coupling cylindrical roll passage with lengthwise axis. Coupler knuckle tail section and at least mid section part have inner cavity and at least the wall extending between surfaces of said cavity, adjoining said mid section. In said mid section, wall opposite outer surfaces extend, mainly, parallel with coupler roll passage in lengthwise direction. In compliance with second and third versions, said knuckle can have rib or bearing surface extending between inner cavity surfaces.
EFFECT: longer life due to higher fatigue strength.
