FIELD: radio engineering, communication.

SUBSTANCE: signal at a radio frequency is generated as a result of phase manipulation of a signal of a carrier frequency by pseudorandom sequences. For the generation of a noise-like signal of detection, one synchronising pseudorandom sequence is used, as well as multiple masking pseudorandom sequences. For the generation of a detection signal, the masking pseudorandom sequences are selected randomly from the multiple mutually orthogonal or quasi-orthogonal pseudorandom sequences using a random data generator with an even distribution. The masking pseudorandom sequences used for the signal generation are selected from the multiple pseudorandom sequences, which are orthogonal or quasi-orthogonal to the synchronising pseudorandom sequence. Digital data produced from a source of information during the generation of a signal is converted into a length of the masking pseudorandom sequences contained in a detection signal, and during the signal reception the length of each masking pseudorandom sequence is converted into digital data received from the source of information.

EFFECT: increased security of information transfer, simplified realisation of a device.
