FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of obtaining a catalyst of selective hydration of organic compounds, including soaking reticulated foam polyurethane with a slip, containing more than 30 wt % of aluminium α-oxide with further drying at a temperature of 100…120°C, annealing at a temperature of 1050…1070°C, further multiple soaking of the obtained highly porous cellular carrier with a solution of alumina sol to 6…10 wt % of the carrier weight, drying at a temperature of 100…120°C, annealing at a temperature of 550…600°C, processing with a palladium nitrate solution, drying at a temperature not higher than 120°C and annealing at a temperature of 450…500°C, reduction of the obtained palladium oxide on the carrier with molecular hydrogen in nitrogen to metallic palladium with the weight content not more than 0.5 wt % at a temperature of 50…55°C, whose surface is after that modified with palladium nanoparticles by a radiation chemical method.
EFFECT: increase of the catalyst service term, elimination of a stage of filtration of the target product from the catalyst and obtaining the pure target product.
