FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: method of manufacturing an electrode with immobilised protein by immobilising cytochrome c552, its derivative or variant on the gold electrode in such a way that the hydrophobic part of the cytochrome, its derivative or variant is located opposite the gold electrode, is proposed. The cytochrome c552, its derivative or variant and the gold electrode is connected with each other using the self-assembled monolayer located between them. After formation on the gold electrode of the self-assembled monolayer the gold electrode is immersed in a solution containing cytochrome c552, its derivative or variant, the buffer solution and from 10 mM to 30 mM inclusive potassium chloride for binding cytochrome c552, its derivative or variant with the gold electrode using the self-assembled monolayer located between them. Also, an electrode is proposed obtained by the above mentioned method. The method of production of the functional element of the photoelectric converter is proposed. The method comprises the steps of formation of the electrode with immobilised protein by immobilisation on the gold electrode of cytochrome c552, its derivative or variant. Also a functional element of the photoelectric converter is proposed, obtained by the above mentioned method.

EFFECT: improvement of stability of the electrode with immobilised protein with maintaining the ability to transfer the electrons of the cytochrome c552, its derivative or variant for long continuous use.
