FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: after DNA is recovered from peripheral venous blood, a polymorphic version +36A/G of a tumour necrosis factor receptor 1 (TNFR1) gene is analysed. If the genotype +36AA TNFR1 is found, a high level of glycosylated haemoglobin is predicted in the patients suffering from type 2 diabetes mellitus.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to compensate type 2 diabetes mellitus in Russian individuals suffering from type 2 diabetes mellitus by TNFR1 genotyping.
