FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the area of direct- or alternating-current power conversion to resonant power of high frequency and its further usage to supply gas-discharge lamps in systems for lighting of streets, buildings, and underground facilities. In the suggest supply system for gas-discharge lamps that comprises illuminators based on low-pressure gas-discharge lamps, a power supply source, a frequency converter feeding the resonant transformer, a single-wire line, to the resonant transformer through inductance coupling electric load is connected, and this load is coupled to the frequency converter through the single-wire line and in-series gas-discharge lamps.
EFFECT: technical result lies in reduction of costs for the supply system for gas-discharge lamps, reduction of power losses in start-up and regulation devices, increased reliability of lamps operation, increased service life of lamps, increased uniformity of light emitted by gas-discharge lamps In result of the suggested invention usage power losses are decreased, the system costs are reduced, operation is simplified, performance of light flow is improved, service life and operational reliability of lamps is increased.
