FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technical diagnostics of heat exchange units and circulating pumps (CP) of a cooling system of a diesel locomotive. The method consists in measurement of water pressure difference ΔP on a radiator (R) of the cooling system (CS), frequency of rotation f of the diesel engine crank shaft, from which the CP is rotated, and temperature of cooling fluid T. At the same time the range of variation of the temperature T, and if the range corresponds to the established mode of operation of the CS, a record is made in the array of parameters of the pressure difference ΔPi and rotation frequency fi for the specified period of time at various positions of the operator controller. Further a coefficient is calculated, by deviation of which from the reference value, they determine extent of R sections pollution or reduction of CP efficiency.
EFFECT: reduced labour intensiveness, possibility of simultaneous diagnostics of R sections and diesel locomotive cooling system CP condition without removal of equipment from a diesel locomotive, increased validity of diagnostics.
