FIELD: physics, optics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to infrared touch panels. The device comprises an optical scanner formed at one side of a screen and which scans the surface of the screen with an infrared beam, a light guide line formed at the edge of the plate of armoured glass and which reflects part of the infrared beam, which is projected by the optical scanner and is transmitted through the plate of armoured glass, and directs the remaining part of the non-reflected incident infrared beam inside the plate of armoured glass, sending it to one end of the light guide, an infrared radiation detector unit provided at the distal end of the light guide line and which receives the infrared beam transmitted through the light guide line and a position sensor for determining coordinates of a touch point from the scanning angle of the optical scanner at the time when the amount of light received by the radiation detector unit is low, wherein the reflected infrared beam from the light guide line will be the incident beam for other light guide lines.

EFFECT: high accuracy of determining the point of touch.
