FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: filter comprises a rigid cylindrical frame and a tightened filter element, both closed at the ends, said filter element being made of elastic porous material and whose tightening increases in the direction of flow of the liquid being purified. The frame is impermeable and is in the form of a housing with a bottom, a cover and inlet and outlet pipes. The filter further includes an adjusting sleeve with an external thread and a perforated plate placed in the bottom part of the housing and having a central threaded opening in which said adjusting sleeve is screwed. The adjusting sleeve has at its centre a tapered opening whose large base faces the cover of the housing. The filter element is provided with a frame which tightens it, said frame being made of deformable sheet metal which is rolled in the form of a truncated cone, and a top perforated cover. The bottom end of the frame with the filter element is tightly fit into the tapered opening of the adjusting sleeve.

EFFECT: quality purification of a liquid.
