FIELD: aircraft engineering.

SUBSTANCE: proposed device comprises leg with wheels arranged on its axle fitted in the main support secured in wheel well and leg lever rigidly secured at leg top end and electromechanical liner drive (EMLD) of leg turn about its axle. EDLD case and case-to-drive support joint secured in wheel well make a rotary pair. EMLD case houses the motor, screw mechanism to convert motor shaft rotation in extending link translation, said link interacting with said lever. Note here that said extending links make the contact pair with leg lever that had the contact uncoupling area. EMLD incorporates the mechanism for directing of extending link to leg lever to maintain the contact between said leg and said lever at EMLD case turn in undercarriage operation. Said directing mechanism makes the rotary kinematic pair with leg lever that feature one degree of freedom. In operation, extending link is pulled from the lever to diagnostics position. Before motor operation EMLD serviceability is tested. For this motor is switched on to vary extending link motion direction within the limits of its diagnostics range. In case EMLD serviceability is confirmed, extending link is moved to contact with the lever and motor is switched off.

EFFECT: simplified design and higher reliability.
