FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to snow mobiles. Proposed method consists in maintenance of interaction of propulsor elements with bearing surface. Propulsor is composed of at least three skis, one central ski located, primarily, at snowmobile frame lengthwise axis centre and two lateral skis, each be arranged on one side of said frame. All said skis can perform in-plane parallel motion in vertical plane at two U-like supports fitted at snowmobile frame. Shafts to run in bearings fitted at the frame are arranged at central part of vertical flanges of every support. Ski seats are arranged at diametrically opposite ends of said supports. At running, main sprocket is driven by chain to allow alternate interaction of ski running surface with bearing snow-coated surface for ice mobile motion and axial motion of ski in snow relative to ice mobile and for removal of ski from snow. Ice mobile rolling is performed at releasing of both skids from contact with bearing surface.
EFFECT: decreased overall dimensions, better slip.
