FIELD: information technology.

SUBSTANCE: method comprises executing an application programme at a server computer for executing an application associated therewith. At a client computer connected to the server computer via a communication network a remote access programme is executed for providing remote access to a state of the executed application. At the client computer a client difference programme having encoded data indicative of a change of a state of the application last received from the server computer is generated and transmitted to the server computer. At the server computer the client difference programme is executed for determining an updated state of the application and a server difference programme having encoded a difference between the updated state of the application and the state of the application last sent to the client computer is generated. The server difference programme is then transmitted to the client computer and at the client executed for updating the state of the application last received from the server computer.

EFFECT: reducing the amount transmitted data.
