FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing of metal articles, primarily, long-length, by application of metal coatings from liquid phase at dip ping. In compliance with this process, this article is displaced through bath with melt by drawing it through opening in bath walls equipped with electromagnetic shutoff devices. Note here that ferromagnetic elements are arranged in bath with melt to make consolidated magnetic field of capillary structure to retain the melt. For preliminary processing of article surface, it is displaced through one or more baths containing various functional fluids and composed capillary structures. Prior to coating application, article is heated by electric current feed through formed capillary structure of previous bath and said bath with melt wherein article is subjected to continuous plastic expansion its amount of 5-20 %.
EFFECT: higher quality of coating, guaranteed surface purity.
