FIELD: surface processing method and equipment, in particular, deposition of various coatings, for example, metal protective coatings, onto elongated products, such as wires, pipes, rolled products or strips by dipping into melt of zinc, aluminum, alloys thereof, tin, lead.
SUBSTANCE: line has feeding device, article surface preparing unit, device for continuous deposition of coating, cooling chamber and unit for receiving of ready articles. Apparatus has coating deposition chamber mounted above melt bath. Cover of said chamber is equipped with vacuumizing discharge branch pipe and bath cover is equipped with supplying branch pipe. Chamber has vertical intake chamber dipped into bath melt. Chamber wall is provided with channel for passage of article. Method involves creating vacuum in article surface treating chamber or simultaneously creating vacuum in article surface treating chamber and excessive pressure in bath for providing delivery of liquid via intake channel into chamber so that level of liquid is above inlet and outlet channels of chamber; providing following conditions for preventing liquid from flowing: Pat≥P1+Pm.col, where Pat is atmospheric pressure; P1 is pressure in chamber for treating article surface; Pm.col is liquid column pressure above lower generatrix of channel. Method, line and apparatus provide operating conditions for still state of treatment material, as well as mixing of said material at regulated intensity level and also prevent articles from deformation during processing owing to rectilinear, without flexure, displacement of articles, said rectilinear motion being provided by simplified and reliable holding of material used for treatment of article (solution or melt) from leakage through inlet and outlet channels.
EFFECT: simplified method and construction of line and apparatus, simplified maintenance and improved quality of articles.
