FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: device comprises a closed cooling loop including a cooling agent circulating in the loop by a compressor and the following units set sequentially in the cooling agent flow direction: a condenser connected to the compressor output and an expansion unit after which an evaporator connected to the compressor input is installed, the evaporator forms the first part of a heat exchanger that comprises also the second part through which the gas being dried is directed, additionally the cooling loop is fitted by a bypass line that can be blocked by a relief valve with the help of the valve operating element which is held in closed position due to the force of a spring element and with the help of a pressure-sensitive element which affects the valve operating element, and via a control pressure pipe it is subject to the action of local control pressure in the cooling loop, the control pressure pipe is connected to the cooling loop and connected to the closed cooling loop upstream the evaporator output. In the course of device operation under load the relief valve is opened overcoming the spring force of the spring element in case the pressure in the cooling loop in the point upstream the evaporator output exceeds the prespecified value.
EFFECT: invention provides for efficient gas drying.
