FIELD: refrigeration equipment.

SUBSTANCE: used in air conditioning systems for heating and cooling residential or industrial premises. The heat pump unit contains a compressor, an air-cooled condenser, a throttle, and an evaporator included in a closed circulation circuit of the working fluid. It contains a four-way valve, connecting pipelines, an air-cooling heat exchanger located in front of the condenser along the air flow, check valves on the main and bypass lines of the refrigerant pipelines. The air-cooled heat exchanger is connected to the heat pump line by a bypass line. After the air-cooling heat exchanger, an additional throttle is located on the bypass line of the refrigerant pipelines to throttle the refrigerant in heat pump mode.

EFFECT: increasing the efficiency of the air conditioner in heat pump mode when heating residential and industrial premises at ambient temperatures below minus 10°C.
