FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of obtaining diarylcarbonate, which includes the following stages: a) obtaining phosgene in interaction of chlorine with carbon monoxide, b) interaction of phosgene, obtained at stage a) with not fewer than one monophenol in presence of alkali-containing aqueous base, taking place with formation of diarylcarbonate and containing chloride of alkali metal chloride of spent water solution, c) separation and processing of diarylcarbonate, formed at stage b), d) separation of residues of solvent from remaining at stage c) solution, containing alkali metal chloride before solution, containing alkali metal chloride is supplied on osmotic membrane distillation at stage e), e) concentration of at least part of remaining at stage d) solution, containing alkali metal chloride, by osmotic membrane distillation, with solution of alkali metal hydroxide being applied as water acceptor, f) electrochemical oxidation of at least part of solution from stage e), containing alkali metal chloride, with formation of chlorine, alkali metal hydroxide and if necessary hydrogen.

EFFECT: obtaining in method product with high degree of purity.
