SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing video signals and can be used in devices which decode an input television format composite video signal. The digital video decoder comprises an analogue signal processing unit, an ADC, a digital processing unit, a memory manager unit, RAM, a digital RGB matrixing and scaling unit, the first, second and third DAC units for R, G and B component signals, a clock signal generating unit, a clock generator unit, a crystal oscillator, a double-line serial interface and a microcontroller.
EFFECT: matching a video decoder with various types of displays, having a standard RGB digital or analogue interface; providing the correct conversion of video presentation formats from interlaced to progressive; enabling the programming of the operating mode of the digital decoder of a composite video signal using a double-line interface.
