FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to brush seals keeping their operability in reverse flow conditions and designed to limit the transfer of fluid medium under pressure between the first and second chambers along a moving shaft. The opposite limiting plates serve to prevent bending of bristles on the moving shaft. Depending on the pressure drop between the chambers, the sliding brush seal is moved in the axial direction by spring-loading to the position with a rest against one of the opposite limiting plates thus preventing the bristles from bending to keep specified clearance with the sealed shaft.
EFFECT: increased reliability of sealing at the change of flow direction.
