FIELD: turbines or turbomachines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to turbomachine building, namely, to a brush seal. Brush seal of turbomachine, including brush, separating between rotor and stator elements cavity supercharging and sealed cavity, wherein brush is arranged between annular flanges, and its free end is inclined to rotor element axis at angle different from 90°, wherein one of the flanges is located in the supercharging cavity, and the second one – in the sealed cavity. Flanges are made on stator element and connected to each other, and brush is conjugated with contact surface of rotor element with applied on it hardening coating. Bristles are inclined at an acute angle to the surface of the rotor element in the direction of its rotation; the seal is equipped with two flat split rings which are arranged between the flanges. Between flat split rings there is a brush, wherein one flat ring with its outer radius together with brush is fixed on flange inner surface located in sealed cavity by means of permanent connection, and the inner surface of the flange located in the sealed cavity forms with the outer surface of the second flat split ring angle of 3–6°. Flanges are connected to each other by detachable connection, and the second flat ring by its external radius is fixed between flanges in area of their detachable connection. Flanges are connected to each other by permanent connection, and second flat ring by its external radius is connected to inner surface of flange located in sealed cavity by means of nondetachable connection.
EFFECT: invention increases service life of brush seals and shafts, reduces the value of working medium leaks through the brush seal, enables the brush seal operability at reverse pressure drop at transient modes of the turbomachine operation, elimination of operational restrictions at cold scrolling of turbomachine rotor.
