FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for manufacturing of elastic support hinges (ESH) of nozzle blocks of solid-propellant rocket engines (SPRE). Method for making sample pieces at manufacturing of a movable joint consisting of supporting rings and reinforcing poppets which are set with gaps in respect to the supporting rings and to each other and are filled with elastomer by transfer moulding in a press mould, involves manufacturing of a number of disks. Afterwards the disks are coupled pairwise, each disk pair with the gaps between the disk surfaces is installed in the cells of the chamber for sample pieces communicated with the moulding unit of the press mould, and the gaps between the disks are filled with elastomer. The gaps between the supporting rings and the reinforcing poppets of the movable joint are filled with elastomer at the same time. Herewith a batch of disks is produced from the same material as the supporting rings are, and a batch of disks - from the same material as the reinforcing poppets are. When assembling the disk pairs, both disks from the first and second batches simultaneously and disks from the second batch only are included in a pair. Then disks assembled in the above way are installed in the cells of the chamber for sample pieces and the moulding unit and the chamber for sample pieces are filled with elastomer. The produced witness samples are used to determine physical and mechanical as well as structural properties of the elastomer pressed between the elements of the movable joint, tearing and shearing strength, adhesion, structure homogeneity etc.

EFFECT: efficient control of manufacturing quality of ESH of SPRE large-sized nozzle blocks by witness samples.
