FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrochemical production of aluminium-titanium alloys and can be used for production of corrosion-resistant aluminium alloys. The method involves chemical activation of titanium surface in molten fluorides of alkali metals and/or potassium cryolite, production of molten metal from chlorides of alkali and/or alkali-earth metals and aluminium or an aluminium-magnesium alloy, placement into the molten metal of chemically activated titanium and performance of anodic polarisation "in situ" in a galvanic mode with current density of 0.3-5.0 mA·cm-2 during 1-5 h at the temperature of 700-800°C in argon atmosphere.

EFFECT: reduction of titanium losses in the form of its tetrachloride; reduction of used densities of anodic current for titanium dilution, use of individual metals or alloys - titanium, aluminium or an aluminium-magnesium alloy without using any extremely hygroscopic chlorides of the above metals, which are difficult to use in practice.
