FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for production of foundry alloy aluminium-scandium-yttrium used for modification of aluminium alloys. Method of aluminium-scandium-yttrium alloy production involves preparation of flux containing mixture of salts of yttrium fluoride, aluminium fluoride, scandium fluoride, potassium fluoride, magnesium chloride, melting of aluminium alloy and flux and high-temperature exchange reaction of scandium fluoride and aluminium in medium of molten metal halides, wherein flux contains following component ratio, wt%: yttrium fluoride 3-10, aluminium fluoride 11-15, scandium fluoride 21-24, potassium fluoride 13-20, magnesium chloride is rest, wherein reducing agent used is aluminium-magnesium alloy, containing from 15 to 30 % of magnesium, which is supplied through receiver on ceramic foam filters through molten fluorides in opposite flow of argon, maintained in crucible and then separated into salt melt and aluminium-scandium-yttrium aluminium alloy.

EFFECT: invention is aimed at production of ingots of alloy with equiaxial fine-grain structure, stabilisation and simplified process.
