SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to curved planar reformation (CPR) generation. The system comprises a model unit for adapting a model to an object in image data, a surface unit for adapting the first cross-section surface to the adapted model based on the link between the first cross-section surface and the model, and a visualisation unit for computing an image from the image data based on the adapted first cross-section surface, which is used to define a section of the image data for visualising useful features of the object and compute an image based on said data section. The shape, orientation and/or position of the adapted first cross-section surface is/are based on the shape, orientation and/or position of the adapted model.
EFFECT: providing adaptation of reformations to various forms of structures.
