FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to adjustment of rolled strip tension. Proposed method comprises the steps that follow. Rolled material (1) by is transferred by roll-table (5) between two stands (2, 25) in contact with rolled material. Rolled material loop (6) is formed in recess (26) located at section (27) of roll-table (5) between both stands (2, 25). Note here that said loop rests on roll-table (5) at, at least path section (27), not at its centre. Roll-table support line at said section corresponds to free flexure chain line. Rolled stock loop depth (18) is measured by appropriate instrument (7). This is made on the basis of preset loop depth (18) depending on rolled material (1) type, its depth and temperature to make said preset depth comply with free flexure. Main drives are adjusted and/or clearances of stands (2, 25) are set by device (10) with allowance for preset measured loop depth (18) so that the latter complies with preset free flexure.
EFFECT: minimised strip tension.
