FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of hot-rolled semis at combined teeming and rolling unit. Proposed unit comprises continuous casting unit, rolling mill, workpiece cooling section and workpiece storage. Semis separation and discharge device is arranged downstream of continuous casting unit and comprises shears, droppable roll-table arranged there behind and lifting gear. Proposed method comprises making semis at continuous casting unit, separating them and discharging at appropriate device, rolling, cooling and accumulation. Separation and discharge device performs cutting and crushing semis parts by shears, discharging scrap lumps onto droppable roll-table, Lifting and removal of semi lower part from roll-table by lifting device.
EFFECT: continuous casting and rolling in hand-up.
