FIELD: metallurgical industry, particularly equipment for production of flat products, including production of continuously-cast flat billet, hot and cold rolling of ferrous and/or non-ferrous metals, bimetallic and polymetallic compositions. SUBSTANCE: casting and rolling mill is arranged with successive and parallel location of billet and roughing equipment and successive location of finishing equipment. Process equipment, excluding melting equipment, is equipped with automatic reversible controlled-velocity electric drives and within the framework of one preassigned process the mill can operate within several power limits and under power-saving process modes. Within the framework of a single manufacturing process one set of complex equipment can be used with the great efficiency for production of continuously-cast and hot-rolled strip and band, cold-rolled products in coils, bands, sheets, as well as high accuracy production of special alloys and bimetals, trimetals and polymetals of various compositions by means of cold rolling.
