FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to refining and by-product coking industries. Shot and electrode coke are produced simultaneously in the same unit. The process cycle includes the coking stage in shot coke mode, the stage of the reactor (4) preparation for coking in electrode coke mode, the coking stage in electrode coke mode and the stage of the reactor (4) preparation for coking in shot coke mode. The stages are carried out in sequence in the same reactor (4) with further transfer of the above stages to the second reactor where the process cycle is repeated.
EFFECT: invention allows reducing duration of the preparation stage as well as production of shot coke and electrode coke in the same unit.
