FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to a method for removing dimethylamine from isobutanol dehydration line in manufacturing high-tension aramid filaments. The method involves accumulating an initial solution containing dimethylamine, mixing it with hydrochloric, or sulphuric, or nitric, or orthophosphoric acid, mixing the prepared mixture to neutralise hydrochloric, or sulphuric, or nitric, or orthophosphoric acid completely to form non-volatile dimethylamine hydrochloride, or sulphate, or nitrate, or phosphate. The prepared three-component mixture is supplied on an evaporating apparatus, wherein the mixture is evaporated with isolating isobutanol and a portion of water until isobutanol is removed completely; thereafter, a distillation residue containing an aqueous solution of dimethylamine hydrochloride, or sulphate, or nitrate, or phosphate, is delivered from the system.
EFFECT: method enables reducing the mutual solubility of isobutanol and water for separating them effectively by removing dimethylamine which has a considerable effect on a critical solution temperature.
