FIELD: physics, nuclear phusics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to liquid radioactive wastes (LRW), precisely to methods of LRW concentration by evaporation (thermal distillation) and solidification of radioactive concentrates. During waste processing salt solutions are concentrated by evaporation at the predetermined temperature and pH of solution. When appearing of salt concentration close to saturation in evaporated solution, evaporation of the salt solutions is carried out in phosphate media while concentration of phosphoric acid in the solution ranges from 150 g/l to 1870 g/l and temperature is 105-130°C. Salt concentrate is solidified by binding agent of phosphate solidification. Cement, lime, natural minerals, industrial wastes of natural power fuels firing are used as binding agents. While using this method the rate of LRW concentration is increased, encrustation of heating surfaces of evaporating apparatus as well as of equipments by salt residues is prevented, transportation, storage and solidification of distillation residues are simplified, technological scheme of LRW processing is simplified as well.
EFFECT: increase of rate of LRW concentration, prevention of encrustation of heating surfaces of evaporating apparatus as well as of equipments by salt residues, simplification of transportation, storage and solidification of distillation residues, and simplification of LRW processing technological scheme.
