FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: input of inspected hydroacoustic path is excited with test signals in the form of thermal Johnson noise with various spectra. The responses of the named path to test signals are measured. The relations of the obtained responses to sent test signals and relation of test signals are determined. In case of equality of these relations the serviceability of the hydroacoustic path is diagnosed.

EFFECT: avoidance of necessity in temperature measurements for determination of serviceability of hydroacoustic path in full-scale conditions.
