FIELD: power industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to thermal power industry and issues of operational status monitoring in heating networks, and solves the task of maintenance and preventive service schedule planning for heating network sections. The method involves infrared aerial survey of the facility in question, survey data processing, distinction of thermal abnormalities on the ground surface, calculation of excessive heat energy radiated, and includes verification ground survey by telemetry and acoustic measurement to determine true causes of the thermal abnormalities registered, namely visual inspection and relevant measurement in heat extraction chambers, drain wells and above the underground heat transfer pipeline, integrated assessment of pipe insulation state by the infrared aerial survey results and diagnostic surface works, pinpointing of thermal abnormalities in heating network sections, instrumented electrometric measurements on the surface to determine pipe corrosion degree, collection and processing of statistic data required to determine corrosive ambient effect by calculation of numeric "Defect Rate" rating and to determine destructive process duration on the basis of extended "Operation Life" factor, calculation of "Failure Probability" parameter for each heating network section, section ranking by operational state on the basis of numeric "Failure Probability" parameters, classification of the surveyed heating network sections by operational state with account of ranking, and scheduling of maintenance and preventive service for heating network sections by this classification.

EFFECT: due to additional monitoring factors and section ranking by design probability parameter "failure probability", the method allows for more reasonable planning of maintenance and preventive service schedule for heating network sections than the prototype method.
