FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method includes simultaneous measurement of linear density of heat flow in specially equipped support sections of operating heat network and performance of remote heat infrared aerial survey of the area, where heat networks are located. By materials of heat aerial survey they determine numerical values of exceeded value of heat losses from each section of the heat line relative to support sections and calculate actual values of heat losses in the entire investigated heat network. The method is applicable for manifold, distribution and quarter underground heat lines of any diameter designed for transportation of coolant with temperature of <300°C.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of detection of transport heat losses in an underground heat supply network of random design and size in operation mode without disconnection of end users.
