FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to compositions of phosphites, used to realise the stabilisation of polymers based on polyethylene, polypropylene or their mixture. The claimed phosphate composition for the stabilisation of the polymer composition includes tris(monoalkylaryl)phosphate in an amount from 51 to 95 wt % and one of the components: bis(monoalkylaryl)dialkylarylphosphite, bis(dialkylaryl)monoalkylarylphosphite or tris(dialkylaryl)phosphite, with the said components constituting from 5 to 49 wt % relative to the total weight of all the phosphites in the composition, the said composition represents a solid substance with the melting temperature higher than 25°C, the quantity of carbon atoms in an alkyl group constitutes 4 or 5 and the quantity of carbon atoms in an aryl group constitutes from 6 to 18. Stabilisation of the polymer composition, based on polypropylene, polyethylene or their mixture constitutes in the addition of the said phosphite composition in an amount from 0.001 to 5 wt % into the polymer composition. The said solid phosphite composition with the application of two or more phosphites, where the phosphites have a ratio of monosubstituted aryl groups and disubstituted aryl groups from 3:1 to 32:1, includes the interaction of phosphorus trihalogenide with a composition of alkylated phenols, containing monoalkylphenol in an amount from 70 to 97 wt % and dialkylphenol in an amount from 3 to 30 wt % relative to the total weight of all the alkylated phenols, with the quantity of carbon atoms of an alkyl group constituting 4 or 5.

EFFECT: novel effective stabilising composition of phosphites is claimed.
