SUBSTANCE: apparatus for linear amplification of an amplitude and phase modulated signal using nonlinear amplifiers comprises an adder, two identical nonlinear power amplifiers, a 90° phase changer, a clipper, a unit for generating a first component of the input signal of the apparatus with a constant amplitude (hereinafter generating unit), a unit for converting the first component of the input signal of the apparatus with a constant amplitude to a second component of the input signal with a constant amplitude (hereinafter conversion unit). The conversion unit comprises a 90° phase changer, a multiplier and a mixer; the generating unit comprises a phase detector, a peak detector, a nonlinear converter which converts the ratio of signals transmitted to the inputs thereof according to an arcsine law, and a phase modulator.
EFFECT: reducing distortions arising when amplifying a signal.
