FIELD: physics, computer engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for structural construction of digital finite impulse response (FIR) filters. The technical result is a method of constructing digital FIR filters which can be incorporated at digital filter synthesis steps for devices on microprocessors and/or PLD. Basic cells form a two-dimensional matrix with a set of elements arranged in rows and columns. A basic cell comprises an adder, a linear shift element and a delay element. The structure of connections between basic cells, delay indicators and the number of bitwise shift operations in cells are described by row vectors. Optimisation of parameters of basic cells is carried out using a selected optimisation algorithm.
EFFECT: result is achieved due to a network structure digital FIR filter which consists of associated basic cells having non-recursive connections and an adder.
