FIELD: physics, computer engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of generating and displaying a stereoscopic image. Disclosed is a method of generating visual data for playback, which evokes a three-dimensional visual impression in an observer. The method includes steps of receiving and/or inputting preferably two-dimensional colour visual data of an original view, deriving a plurality of other partial views which represent the information shown in the original view from different viewing angles. The method also includes, for each point of the image of the two-dimensional visual data of the original view, determining colour hue of at least two primary colours of the colour system. Each point of the image is automatically assigned a control value depending on at least two defined colour hues. Each control value represents incompatibility information.
EFFECT: improved reality of playing back a three-dimensional image through automated generation from a two-dimensional view of the scene of other views of the image, a scene at different viewing angles.
