FIELD: printing industry.

SUBSTANCE: ink cartridge for an inkjet printer comprises a lower surface and a front surface, as well as the interfaces on the front and lower surfaces. The interfaces on the front surface are intended for connection to the receiving structure for the cartridge. These interfaces comprise an ink interface. The interface of the guide on the lower surface is designed to guide the cartridge along the straight line during insertion into the receiving structure for the cartridge for connection with the interfaces. And the interface of the guide comprises a guiding track for directing the T-shaped rail of the receiving structure for the cartridge extending parallel to the said straight line. The cartridge also comprises a latch track and a latch stop located on the lower surface of the ink cartridge for directing and retaining, respectively, of the latch of the receiving structure for the cartridge. And the guiding track and the latch track are formed by a common cut-out in the lower surface of the cartridge.

EFFECT: creation of cartridge having a compact locking mechanism providing simple process of its locking.
