SUBSTANCE: ink cartridge for an inkjet printer comprises: interfaces on a front surface for connection to a receiving structure for a cartridge, a guide interface on the lower surface for guiding the cartridge along a straight line for connecting to said interfaces, wherein the guide interface includes the guide receiving hole, near the front surface; latch path and latch stop located in lower surface to guide and hold latch of receiving structure for cartridge; and an electric circuit located near the upper surface opposite the lower surface, wherein the electric circuit is recessed relative to the front surface and comprises electrodes, which extend in plane perpendicular to front surface, and are located on line parallel to front surface and located behind front surface.

EFFECT: disclosed is ink cartridge for jet printer.
