SUBSTANCE: invention relates to press tools. Press-tool for jointing, mainly, tubular billets comprises several press elements articulated like chain links. Press-tool is opened to make the point of closure between two end press elements. At least one of the latter has press jaw holder Press-tool is equipped with manipulator to open press-tool from closed position whereat closure point is, in fact, closed, and to release at least one end press element with shift of press jaw and its release from closed position.
EFFECT: simplified use.
