FIELD: personal use articles.

SUBSTANCE: manipulator includes a body positioned within the oral cavity, a joystick (with one end positioned on the body and the other to be moved with the tongue), a signal processing unit, a power supply and a channel of communication with the device to be controlled. The sensor of the joystick position relative to the body is represented by a pair of integral accelerometers and/or gyroscopes, one of them position on the body and the other - on the joystick; relying by measurements of the said accelerometers/gyroscopes, the signal processing unit calculates the coordinate difference of the said measurements characterizing the joystick position relative to the body and representing the manipulator output; the signal processing unit and the power supply are positioned inside the manipulator body that is arch-shaped to be accommodated in the fore part of the oral cavity between the lips and the front teeth. The readings of the accelerometers/gyroscopes mounted on the body, processed by the signal processing unit, also represent the device output. The invention usage enables essential reduction of load onto the tongue which ensures higher accuracy of the computer cursor movement following an arbitrary trajectory as well as increased reliability due to no mechanical sensors used.

EFFECT: facilitation of the device complete sealing, reduction of energy consumption and overall dimensions of the manipulator to be placed in the mouth cavity, additional provision for control of head turning and other motions which ensures additional control capabilities increasing the control space dimension.
