FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: device comprises an external components, internal component, which in screw manner is connected to the external component, meanwhile the internal components limits the chamber, containing the first and second holes and contains a bottom surface, which is fitted with the sealing connection and cover for tight closure of the first hole of the chamber. The connection between the external and internal component is screw-type, that is appears to be a result of threading. Therefore, the internal components can, thus, be move coaxially with reference to the external component. The method includes the following stages - stopping of the turbine, orientation by positioning of the balancing hole opposite to the second hole of the chamber of the device for adding of balancing weight, making of contact of the sealing connection surface of the internal component with the rotor using the nut, opening of the device chamber with removal of the cover, inserting of the weight into the rotor hole through the device chamber and positioning of the weight by screwing and latching by means of staking-on in the balancing hole, with further placement of the cover for closing of the first hole of the chamber, and the chamber is detached from the rotor, using a nut, then the turbine is returned into operation.

EFFECT: elimination of unsealing of the turbine housing, acceleration of process of placement of weights.
