FIELD: engine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to engine assembly, in particular to a tool for installation of a fixing pin and a method of installation. Fixing pin (20) installation tool (100) for fixing the turbine rotor balancing weight comprises tubular housing (110), pressure pin (120) and sliding nut (140), wherein inside tubular housing (110) there is cavity (111) for fixing pins (20), and the surface of tubular housing (110) is made with first slot (112) and the second slot located opposite each other and connected to said cavity (111), wherein two ends of tubular housing (110) have, respectively, first opening (113) and second opening (114), which are connected to cavity (111), and fixing pins (20) are able to enter cavity (111) through first hole (113) and exit from cavity through second hole (114), pressure pin (120) is movable in tubular housing (110) along first slot (112) and second slot, and both ends of pressure pin (120) protrude from the surface of tubular housing (110), and sliding nut (140) is connected to tubular body (110) and is configured to actuate pressure pin (120) towards second hole (114), wherein said tool (100) also comprises pressure cover (130) located on the surface of tubular housing (110), and sliding nut (140) is made with possibility to actuate pressure pin (120) by means of pressure cover (130) for its movement to second hole (114), and on pressure cover (130) there is fixing groove (131) corresponding to pressure pin (120), wherein tubular body (110) also comprises tapered section (115), and inner diameter of at least part of cavity (111) on tapered section (115) is less than diameter of fixing pin (20).
EFFECT: reduced probability of locking pin falling out, increased safety and efficiency of assembly, as well as reduced complexity of installation.
