FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method involves surface pre-processing to generate hydroxyl groups thereon and treatment with a polymerisation initiator solution in the solvent medium in the presence of triethylamine and modification in the solution containing a monomer by its graft polymerisation in the surface in the presence of a catalyst complex consisting of copper bromide (I) and organic ligand - dinonylbipyridine. The metal surface is sequentially pre-processed by ultrasound and low-pressure plasma; the treatment with the polymerisation initiator solution is preceded by treating the metal surface with glycidol at 110°C. Treating with the polymerisation initiator solution is performed in the presence of a dimethylaminopyridine catalyst. The polymerisation initiator is α-bromoisobutiryl bromide in chloroform, while a modification procedure is performed at 60-90°C with 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidyl methacrylate.

EFFECT: invention enables preparing the polymer coating able to collect and transmit an electric charge on the metal surface.
