SUBSTANCE: invention relates to locking differentials. The differential (10) comprises a case (12), a side gear (18) of a cam mechanism installed near the first case (12) end (14), and a side gear (20) installed near the second case (12) end (16). The side gears (18, 20) are fitted with respective bushes (34, 36). The differential (10) additionally comprises the first clutch pack (40) located around the bush (34) of the cam mechanism's side gear (18). The differential (10) additionally comprises a ring-shaped thrust element (62) installed between the side gear (20) and the case (12). Differential versions additionally comprise units to remove load from the first clutch pack and blocking units gearing down the differential operation.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at the elimination and/or reduction of noise produced by the clutch packs when the differential is unlocked.
