SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of drying sludge. The method comprises preliminary processing and mixing of initial materials, shaping and heating the conglomerates of sludge, drying the formed conglomerates of sludge, and energy recovery, the additional processing, sorting the particles of the product and intermediate storage of the final product. The preliminary treated sludge is fed to the process device, in which the sludge is formed into the conglomerates of sludge of the corresponding size, the temperature of the process device is raised. The energy absorbed in the process device is transmitted to the conglomerates of sludge subjected to formation. The formed conglomerates of sludge are fed into the dryer, where they move towards the flow of drying air which temperature is significantly lower than the temperature of conglomerates of sludge subjected to drying.
EFFECT: invention provides an energy-efficient method of drying sludge.
