SUBSTANCE: invention relates to glass crumb. Glass crumb features the mean thickness of 40-200 nm, at least 80% of said crumb features thickness of at least 20% of rated mean thickness. Device for production of said crumb comprises a cup arranged to spin about lengthwise axis. Fused glass is fed into said cup spinning glass melt outflow beyond the cup edge in radial direction. Some 10-75 mm from said edge plates arranged to make a circular plate channel.
EFFECT: invariable grain size produced glass crumb.
