FIELD: various technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of melting materials during production of glass or ceramic material. In particular, disclosed is a system for melting materials during production of glass or ceramic material, comprising: melting tank and heating element for positioning in melted materials inside melting tank. Heating element has: a first connecting piece connected to a first side of the inside of the melting vessel; a second connecting piece connected to the second side of the inside of the melting vessel; and at least two elongated strips extending between the first connecting piece and the second connecting piece. Said at least two elongated strips are integral with the first connecting part and the second connecting part and wherein said at least two elongated strips are spaced apart. Said heating element is configured so that current flows between the first connection part and the second connection part of the heating element along said at least two elongated strips, so as to radiate heat to materials inside the melting tank. Output power of infrared radiation is optimized. Surface of the elongated strips follows a non-linear path between the first and second connecting parts, providing an increase in the output power of infrared radiation.
EFFECT: increasing energy efficiency of the process of producing glass or ceramic material by reducing heat losses and, accordingly, increasing heat release when heating the material for melting.
