FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: location system performs spectral analysis of observed images of an area in the visible and infrared wavelength ranges, as well as spectral Fourier analysis of a thin structure of laser probing pulses reflected from the observed objects. The system comprises adjustable generation wavelength laser generators, spectral tunable filters based on acoustooptic cells, visible and infrared photodetector units based on video cameras and matrix photosensitive multielement optical signal receivers.
EFFECT: high efficiency of detection and probability of recognising optical and optoelectronic devices and surveillance means, high accuracy of determining coordinates of detected objects and association of coordinates thereof with coordinates and characteristic elements of a monitored area.
